Surf Casters Special Bait Rigs – For the dedicated surf fisherman.
SCS Clip-Down Rig – These rigs are our improved version of a proven fish catcher. This rig is designed to add up to 30% casting distance to you cast. Each rig incorporates our “Big Bait Loop” feature. As you can see in the picture the hook is attached to a loop. When using large bait frequently the hook and impact shield separate during the cast. When big bait is used simply clip the hook loop to the impact shield and cast. These rigs come in your choice of Mustad circle or Baitholder hooks.

SCS Fishfinder Rig – Short leader drop and “Bluie” sinker slide make this a favorite surf rig. A long cast can make the difference between catching and watching. This rig has improved casting distance in mind. Mustad circle hooks or “J” type Baitholder hooks are offered in several sizes. to the impact shield and cast. These rigs come in your choice of Mustad circle or Baitholder hooks.

Hatteras Style Striper Rig – This rig is imported from the south, a tried and true fish catcher. Many large fish are caught on this style rig. The rig consists of a bead, “Bluie” sinker slide and a hook snelled to a 5” leader. Thread the bead, then “Bluie” onto your shock leader, and tie on the leader and go fishing. The short leader keeps the bait and sinker close to each other, minimizing the “helicoptering” effect that cuts down on casting distance. Your choice of Mustad circle hooks, Gamakatsu 4x In-Line circle hook or Gamakatsu Big River Bait hook.

Delaware River Special Bait Rigs
Specially made for the river fisherman in mind.
DRS Clip-Down Rig – These rigs are our improved version of a proven fish catcher. This rig is designed to add up to 30% casting distance to you cast. Our 3/0 hook rig is ideal for early season fishing when only small baits and worms will catch fish. All of the 5/0 and 7/0 size rigs incorporate our “Big Bait Loop” feature. As you can see in the picture the hook is attached to a loop. When using large bait frequently the hook and impact shield separate during the cast. When big bait is used simply clip the hook loop to the impact shield and cast. These rigs come only in blood red Gamakatsu in-line circle hooks. All hooks comply with all NJ DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife regulations for Delaware River striper fishing.
